PSLS Membership / Registration Policy & Registration
- Eligibility Criteria:
- All Pakistani Nationals, having their basic or advanced degree in any area of life sciences.
- Individuals with interdisciplinary HEC approved fields of life sciences.
- Individual working in biosciences fields/ departments/ workstations, having advanced degree (PhD) in Allied/ Natural sciences.
- Expatriate Pakistani Nationals, having their basic or advanced degree in any area of life sciences.
- Honorary membership by nomination: Pakistani and Foreign National Scientists and junior colleagues, belonging to any scientific field, with demonstrated abilities and scientific repute.
- Nominated members of PSLS Advisory Council, Central & Regional Organizational Structure and PSLS Proactive members.
2) Privileged Memberships:
- Lifetime Membership fee wave off for honorable senior colleagues, over the age of 70 years, on or before June 30, 2026. However, other society registration requirements are to be furnished.
- Default inclusion of Proactive Members in PSLS Executive Council. However, an additional Proactive membership fee of Rs. 1000/ paid once only at the time of registration is mandatory.
- Life Sciences associated Organizational Heads (nomination by post) from Government & Private sector across Pakistan, will be registered default members of PSLS Executive Council.
- Representative member/s of scientific societies, NGOs, institutions, industry and commercial organizations, that sign a Memorandum of Understanding with PSLS, for mutual benefits.
3) Registration:
Online registration & registration fee, as per categories mentioned is mandatory.
An online registration pro-forma is available on the PSLS official website: https://paksls.org, along with the proof of online scheduled registration fee submission in the account #: IBAN: PK18NBPA1725004018982691 (National Bank of Pakistan). All submissions and required information may be furnished through PSLS official e-mail: psls-1@paksls.org.
4) Additional Requirements:
- Scanned copies of: Valid CNIC or passport, valid postgraduate degree and proof of employment/ retirement.
- Graduating scholars must write their valid university registration #, name of Department, University/ affiliated institute with address and documented proof of their studentship.
- Scanned bank receipt/ copy as proof of registration fee submission.
- Scanned passport size Photograph is preferred for PSLS membership records/ privileged cards.

6) Registration Processing & Confirmation:
Submission of Registration form & fee, complete in all respects will be processed for approval and a PSLS registration # issued and conveyed to the registered member through registered email. PSLS Registration Certificate will be issued later.
PSLS registration is a confirmation of PSLS General Body membership.
7) Basic Rules to Follow:
Society registration is not employment; therefore, it is free from any/all financial liabilities.
Zero tolerance for any political activity, religious bias, unethical practices, or politicization of the affairs of PSLS.
Rules, activities, and decisions implemented by the PSLS Ethical Committee shall be considered final and cannot be challenged in any national or international court of law.
